Shirley Ann Coker

Shirley Ann Coker, age 81, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021. A celebration of Shirley's life will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907, followed by a committal service in Parkhill Cemetery.

Shirley was born August 22, 1939 in Columbus, Georgia to Lucy Goff Butts and Eli Butts. She was a life-long resident of Columbus. She loved Bluegrass music, shopping for clothes, and collecting dolls, but her greatest love was seeing her children, grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren. Shirley will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Shirley’s husband, Agustus Herman Coker; father, Eli Butts and mother, Lucy Goff Butts; sisters, Dorothy Conduff, Cathy Reddish; and brothers, Charles (Dinky) Butts and John Henry Butts, preceded her in death.

She is survived by son, Roy Rayborn (Melissa); daughters, Patricia Guthrie (John) and Jennifer Richardson; sister, Judy Spencer (Tony) and sister, Virginia Griffin; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews who also loved Memaw.
