Stella Oss, age 100 passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. A Visitation for Stella will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at St Anne Catholic Church, 2000 Kay Cir, Columbus, GA 31907, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
Stella was born in Wola Rusinowska, Poland, November 10, 1924; the daughter of Roman and Karolina Yurek. Stella was happily married to her soulmate, Elmer Oss for over 50 years. Stella was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved the beach, doing needlework, gardening, flowers, and her dog Libra. Stella loved helping her neighbors in any way that she could. On Sundays she would attend Mass at St. Anne Catholic Church, she hardly missed a Sunday, she was a spiritual lady who loved attending church and visiting with the other members. She enjoyed activities with friends, exercise classes, and later playing ballon volleyball at Legacy Reserve. She truly loved her family especially the children. She always enjoyed being surrounded at various get togethers, birthdays, and holidays by her family. Christmas was extra special as they would all gather around and open their gifts together. She cherished the priceless time spent together, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a precious lady that will be deeply missed from this day forward, may she rest in eternal peace.
Preceded in death by: her beloved husband, Elmer Oss; parents, Roman and Karolina Yurek; and brother, Frank Yurek.
Survivors include: her daughter, Shirley (Randy) Lunsford; her son, William (Merrille) Oss; two grandchildren, Brian (Stephanie) Lunsford, Christie Oss; two great grandchildren, Olivia, and Everett Lunsford.
