Stephen Hall DuPuy III

A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 12:00 PM at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Gerard Schreck officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907. A rosary will be said Friday, December 2, 2011 at 6:00 PM with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at a later date in St. Louis, MO at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Mr. DuPuy was born November 14, 1932 in Green Bay, WI, son of the late Stephen H. and Dorothy Mess DuPuy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, and was the terminal manager for Lend-Lease Trucking. Mr. DuPuy was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. He also enjoyed traveling, Nascar Racing, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

In addition to his parents, Mr. DuPuy was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Scheunemann, and two sisters, Kay DuPuy, and Gail Sowers.

Survivors include his five children, Stephen DuPuy, IV, (Nancy), Rosemarie Schwendemann (Terry), Mary Goetz (Kenneth), Debra Lewis (Guy), and Michael DuPuy (Suzie); one brother, Duane DuPuy (Anne); one sister, Renee Kolbeck; loving companion, Shirley Thomley; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
