Teresa "Mima" Luciano Cruz

Teresa Luciano Cruz, age 80, resident of Augusta, Georgia, died on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Doctor's Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Friday, May 17, 2013, 10 a.m. with Father George Gonzalez officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, Alabama. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. Mrs. Cruz, daughter of the late Juan Luciano and Maria Engracia Luciano, was born January 10, 1933 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. She was a homemaker and Catholic by faith. Mrs. Cruz is survived by her husband, Ramon Cruz Sabater of Columbus; three daughters, Caren Thomas of Bowman, Georgia, Jeannette Loop of Appling, Georgia, and Angela Cruz Gary of Columbus; four sons, Jesus Cruz of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Ramon Cruz of Texas, Curtis Cruz of Florida, and Jerry Cruz of Georgia; six siblings, Ana Luciano of Puerto Rico, Providencia Luciano of Puerto Rico, Carmen Luciano of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Tito Luciano of Pennsylvania, Julio Luciano of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Confesor Luciano of Puerto Rico; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
