Funeral services for Mr. Hunnicutt will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday May 15, 2012 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus with Reverend Scott Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery

Visitation for Mr. Hunnicutt will be from 5-7 pm, Monday, May 14, 2012 at the funeral home.

Thomas C. Hunnicutt was born August 14, 1927 in Union Town, Alabama to the late Thomas Jack Hunnicutt and Agnes Dempsey Bell. In addition to his parents Mr. Hunnicutt was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Louise Wilson.

Mr. Hunnicutt was a graduate of Baker High School. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was retired from Southern Railway, a member of Atlanta Iron Workers Local 387, and a member of the Good News Sunday School Class St. Mark United Methodist Church. Mr. Hunnicutt is also a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the YAARAB Shrine Temple of Atlanta, GA.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Margaret “Betty” Hunnicutt, son; Thomas Wayne Hunnicutt, daughter; Marsha Hunnicutt Barton, and four granddaughters; Tamara Hunnicutt Williams of Ducula, GA., Elizabeth Hunnicutt Howard of Vass, NC., Cindy Hunnicutt Connor of Blakley, GA., and Melissa Braswell Becker of Lebanon, OH., one grandson; Ronald Bryan Braswell of Springboro, OH., and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers; Robert J. Hunnicutt of Kingston, TN., Charles Leon Hunnicutt of Columbus, GA., and James F. Hunnicutt of Montz, LA.
