A service to celebrate Tim’s life will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Pittsview Baptist Church with reverend Gene Chestnutt officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. Interment will follow in Pittsview Cemetery.
Tim was born July 25, 1964 in Columbus, GA, son of Brenda Watson Boyett and the late Wifa Cecil Boyett, Jr. He graduated from Lakeside High School in 1982. Tim worked in printer/bindery for over 30 years in the companies LithoChrome, Columbus Productions and Total Systems.
His favorite recreations were vacationing in Florida, driving a fishing boat up and down the Chattahoochee River and practicing guitar. Classic and southern rock were his specialties.
Tim was a true warrior and faithful believer. He may have lost his battle with cancer but his faith taught a great life lesson and won the war.
In addition to his father, Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Boyett Mack.
Survivors include his wife, Mahalia; two sons, Eric and James; his mother, Brenda Watson Boyett; Nephew, Dustin Preslar (Alicia); niece, Lacee Preslar Brazelle (Garrett); uncle, Jim Watson; cousin, Dawn Watson; many friends.
