Tomiko was born on July 15, 1930 in Sapporo, Hokkiado, Japan to the late Natsu and Fukutaro Yamada. She was married to the love of her life, Cecil Bradley Ferrell, for 49 years. Tomiko was a faithful and dedicated military wife and mother. She was a homemaker who loved shopping for antiques and collectibles. She always accessorized with jewelry, and loved to shop for “treasures” in flea markets, yard sales, and thrift shops. There was nothing she liked better than a bargain. She loved pets, especially dogs, and they seemed naturally drawn to her. She liked vegetable and flower gardening, and took great satisfaction in her well-kept yard and cooking nutritious meals for her family that incorporated her own garden grown vegetables. Her idea of a good evening was one spent in the company of her family enjoying her favorite TV comedies, mysteries, horror, and sci-fi movies. Tomiko will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
Tomiko is survived by Linda M. Ferrell (Donald R. Cleveland), Douglas F. Ferrell (Jennifer), Sandra Ferrell Beidler (David), 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Tomiko is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil B. Ferrell.
