Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 19, 2011 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia with burial to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Crutchfield was born August 12, 1923 in Holmes County, Florida daughter of the late John White and Mamie Barton White and also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Crutchfield, a son, Willie Ray Crutchfield, Sr. and her brother, John White, Jr. She had worked for Bibb Mill, Jordan Mill and Cartersville Mill. She was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church and had lived in the community since 1950.
Survivors include her 4 daughters, Jimmie Strickland, Ann Grantham and her husband Jerry, Carolyn LaValley and Brenda Johnson and her husband Jeff all of Columbus, Georgia, her brothers and sisters, James B. White, Mildred Gainey, Wilma Nelson, Elizabeth Griffin, Thomas Eugene White, Inez Kent, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
