Wayne Taylor

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road, with the Reverend Tim Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Mr. Taylor was born July 16, 1951 in Camilla, GA to the late James G. Taylor and Hazel U. Taylor. He graduated from Hardaway High School and attended Columbus State University. He was retired from Civil Service at Fort Benning and was a member of Britt David Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Earl Taylor; paternal grandparents, J. Floyd and Sadie Taylor, Camilla; maternal grandparents, Joseph A. Underwood, Sr. and Thelma D. Underwood.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his mother, Hazel U. Starling and her husband Gerald Starling; a brother, Sammy G. Starling and his wife, Wanda; a sister, Sue Taylor and her son, Diago of Bradenton, FL. Special relatives, Curtis and Brittany Underwood of Ellaville; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and his life partner, Mary Farmer and her children, Jennifer Tyner and Randy Eakin, two grandchildren, Donovan and Heather.
