
William Bryan Haines, 67, of Columbus, Georgia, died on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center. A Funeral Service is scheduled on Sunday, July 17, 2016, 3:00pm at Wynnton United Methodist Church, 2412 Wynnton Rd, with Pastor Richard Wright officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be the New Beginning Sunday School Class of Wynnton UMC. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 5:00-7:00pm at Striffler-Hamby of Columbus, 4071 Macon Road.
Mr. Haines, son of Gene Haines and the late Betty Haines, was born August 30, 1948 in Odessa, Texas. He served our country honorably for 12 years in the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. After his service, he worked for Civil Service at Ft. Benning as Supervisor at Central Issue Facility for many years. Mr. Haines was a faithful member at Wynnton United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Cynthia Mays Haines of Columbus; son, Adam Haines (Enna) of Copperas Cove, TX; step-daughter, Leesa Garcia of San Antonio, TX; father, Gene Haines of Marble Falls, TX; grandchildren, Isaiah, Caitlyn, Adrian, and Julian Haines, Hailee and Noah Garcia; sister, Beth Lawson (Tom) of Marble Falls, TX; and brother, Michael Haines (Mary Helen) of Dallas, TX.
