William Alan “Bill” Lafferty, 47 of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Bill is survived by his wife, Katie and their three sons: Andrew, Dylan, Austin and daughter: Lanie Sue. He was born to and survived by Jon and Pat Lafferty on September 11, 1969. Bill is also survived by his two brothers: Del Moon and Jon P. Lafferty and his sister, Breanna Halterman; and nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Bill is a member of Cascade Hills Church. He owned his business, “Affordable Home Improvements” and attended Columbus State University. Bill was a loving husband, father, brother and son. He was an avid fan of Auburn University. Bill loved football and baseball. Bill loved boating, fishing, playing golf, and especially spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bob Hawkins officiating. Graveside service to follow immediately after in Parkhill Cemetery.
