Windes Hazel Livingston, age 91, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023. A visitation for the family and friends of Hazel will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Columbus, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Ft Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 Highway 165, Fort Mitchell, Alabama 36875.
Hazel was born on January 14, 1932 in Enterprise, AL; the daughter of Effie Mae Anderson Jones and Henry H. Jones. Hazel attended Baker High School graduated from Hallie Turner Private School. She worked for Swift Textiles and retired as a cloth inspector after 30byears of service. Hazel married George R. Livingston on June 5, 1954 in Phenix City, AL; Hazel was previously married to Edward E. Jones on June 27, 1949, he was lost in the Korean War. Hazel enjoyed watching games shows, various sports on T.V., and was an ardent fan of Alabama Football. However, what she loved most was spending time with her family, she cherished her role as wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
Hazel is preceded in death by: her husbands, George R. Livingston, Edward E. Jones; daughter Lisa Anne Trillet; three brothers, James L. Jones, Rex O. Jones, Ralph Steven Jones; and her parents Effie Mae and Henry H. Jones.
Survivors include: four children, Patricia J. (Mike) Davenport, Keith (Debbie) Livingston, Mike (Vickie) Livingston, Terri Dabiero; two sisters, Betty Joyce Middleton, Evelyn (Gene) Whitehead; sister-in-law, Kathy Jones; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
