

Mrs. Turner was born in Nashville, IN. on November 17, 1924 the daughter of the late Walter McKinley “Toots” and Hesper Mae Brown Parker.
Mrs. Turner was a homemaker and she loved seeing the accomplishments of raising her five children and enjoying their families.
She was a 1942 graduate of Nashville High School and attended Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1943. Mrs. Turner was a member of First Baptist Church in Columbus, IN. where she was very active serving on the diaconate committee on several occasions, in charge of funeral dinners, the parish nursing action team and the Naomi Circle. She was a member of the O.N.O. Home Ec club since 1947.
The funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Turner will be conducted at 10:00 am Friday, June 29, 2012 at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St. with Pastor Dan Cash officiating.
Calling hours will be from 4:00 until 7:00 pm Thursday and from 9:00 am until the time of the service on Friday.
Entombment will be in Garland Brook Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Turner may be made to First Baptist Church or Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Mrs. Turner is survived by three sons, Bruce (Jane) Turner and Barry (Donna) Turner both of Columbus, IN. and Curt (Traci) Turner of Smyrna, TN.; two daughters, Joyce (John) Long of Trafalgar, IN. and Sandi (Paul) Brenda of LaPorte, IN.; two brothers, Loren and Lyndel Parker both of Nashville, IN.; a sister, Joan (Raymond) Kemp of Florida; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Turner was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Lee Parker.
