Barbara H. Hattabaugh Stiles, 73, of Columbus died 3:02 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her home.
Barbara was born January 25, 1946 in Glasgow, Kentucky the daughter of Lorenzi and Edna Johnson McCawley. She married Clayton Hattabaugh, he preceded her in death in 2013.
She was a nurse’s aide at Columbus Regional Hospital and a client advocate at Turning Pointe. She was a member of Parkside Baptist Church and a former member of the Columbus Moose. She loved music and played the guitar and sang.
She is survived by daughters, Rhonda Ballard of Columbus and Laura Bishop of North Vernon; son, Clay (Karri) Hattabaugh of Columbus; siblings, Robert (Barbara) McCawley of Columbus, Billie Waggoner of Culleoka, TN, Roy (Toni) Grider of Columbus, Beverly Gross of Columbus and Ronnie Grimsley of Kentucky; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, David William Bishop in 2011 and Clayton Hattabaugh in 2013; brothers, Gene McCawley; Richard and Russell Grider.
A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Pastor Jose Gonzales officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in Flatrock Baptist Cemetery.
