Christina Dee Sullivan, age 49, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025. She was born in Columbus on April 11, 1976, and remained a proud member of the community throughout her life.
Christina dedicated over 20 years of her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Columbus area. Her compassion, warmth, and tireless commitment to helping those in need were the hallmarks of both her profession and her personal life.
Outside of work, Christina was a woman of many passions. She found joy in crocheting and knitting, shared laughter on the dance floor line dancing, and filled her life with the rhythm of music and concerts. She also cherished the outdoors, finding peace in hunting and fishing. Christina was always the first to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or stand beside someone in need. Above all, her fierce love and devotion to her family were unwavering and deeply felt by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy (Streeval) Coatsworth; her brother, Tony Coatsworth; and several other beloved family members.
Christina leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her children, Cierra Starr DuLong and her fiancé, Shay Jewell, and Brian Anthony Sullivan, all of Columbus; her cherished granddaughter, Shaeleigh Starr Ann Jewell of Columbus; her father, Robert Coatsworth, and his wife—Christina’s “Bonus Mom”—Betty of Columbus; and her sisters, Michelle Coatsworth and Jennifer Coatsworth, both of Columbus. She is also survived by her niece, Taylor Coatsworth of Franklin; and four adored great-nieces and great-nephews: Grayson, Aspen, Tatum, and Oaklynn.
A Celebration of Christina's Life will be held from 2-7 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the Family Arts Building of the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds, 750 W 200 S, Columbus, IN 47201.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Christina’s name to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Christina will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and lovingly honored by all whose lives she touched.
