

She was a former employee of Cosco and Boyer Machine Company, was a former volunteer at the senior center and a former member of Order of the Eastern Star.
She enjoyed bowling and was a homemaker.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street. In keeping with Sue’s wishes, cremation is planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bartholomew County Humane Society.

Born in Hope March 1, 1933, Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of Albert D. and Autumn Sue Newforth Shafer.
She is survived by daughters, Melanie Louise Taylor and Sandra Sue (Ernest) Armstrong, both of Columbus, and Trish Carmichael of Nineveh; sisters, Della Kay Shafer of Ohio and Cuba Lee “Rusty” Gebelein of Wisconsin; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her faithful canine friend, Buddy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Albert Shafer; and her stepmother, Lillian Oliva Shafer.
