She was born in Iceland November 4, 1926, the daughter of Fredrikka and Runôlfur Sigfuson. She married James F. McKinney II on August 4, 1945 in Reykjavík, Iceland. Anna was a member of First Christian Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She worked at The Village Shop and The Countryside House. She enjoyed being outdoors, working in the yard and feeding the birds. She loved nature and spending time with her family and friends and she enjoyed watching her sons and grandchildren play sports.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim on October 18, 1983; sons James McKinney III in 2019 and Joseph McKinney in 2021; 2 brothers; 2 sisters.
She is survived by her son, Thomas (Judy) McKinney of Bloomington, Indiana; several grandchildren and great children; brother, Savaldur Runôlfson and nieces and nephews in Iceland.
