Dennis "Scott" Drysdale

Dennis “Scott” Drysdale, 59, of Columbus died 12:12 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019, at I.U. University Hospital after a long battle with Pulmonary Hypertension and Diastolic Heart Failure. Scott was born in Columbus January 11, 1960, the son of Freeman and Mary Lou Galbraith Drysdale. He married Debra A. Condon; she survives. He retired in 2007 from Inside-Outside Sales. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. He was a drummer in several bands and was a member of Columbus Police Department Stewart Pipes and Drums. From 1980 to 1996 he taught marching band at Columbus East High School. Scott is survived by his wife, Debra A. Drysdale of Columbus; daughter, Leah (Adam) Brouse of Columbus; son, Greg (Danielle) Drysdale of Hope; brother, Ronald (Michelle) Drysdale of Columbus; grandchildren, Xavier and Kambry Drysdale, Claire and Noah Brouse. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David A. Drysdale. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Hathaway~Myers Chapel on Pearl Street with Deacon Bill Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time. Inurnment will follow in Hawcreek Baptist Cemetery north of Hope. Memorials may be made to the Columbus East Band. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hathaway-myers.com.
