Doris E. Peterson Walters

Mrs. Walters retired as an executive secretary for Rockford Clutch, in Rockford, Ill., which later became Borg Warner Automotive. She was a former member of Tabor Lutheran Church in Rockford and currently was a member of First Lutheran Church.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Pastor Larry Isbell officiating. Calling will be from 3 p.m. until service time Saturday.

In keeping with Mrs. Walters' wishes, cremation is planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church of Columbus.

Born in Rockford Nov.12, 1922, Mrs. Walters was the daughter of Gust and Anna Johnson Peterson. She married William G. "Bill" Walters Sept. 2, 1944, at Rockford.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Gary (Carol) Walters of Columbus; grandsons, Marc (Samantha) Walters of Indianapolis and Eric (Michelle) Walters of Fishers, IN.; and great-grandsons, Carson William Walters of Indianapolis and Brady and Aden McDonald of Fishers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.
