Ella Faye Speer

Ella Faye Speer, 67, of Columbus died 10:21 a.m. January 4, 2019 at her home. She was born in Nashville, Indiana January 13, 1951, the daughter of Omar and Rose Powell Barwick. She married Jack Speer in 1982 in Mill Race Park; he preceded her in death March 2001. Mrs. Speer was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by daughter, Kim (William Bunch) Prather of Columbus; son, Matt (Ashley) Speer of Marshall, MI; sisters, Jean Grider of Columbus, Evie (Ronnie) Scoville of Alabama, Anna (Jim) Garmon of Greenwood, IN, Linda (Kenny) Bryant of Columbus, Sherry (Richard) Hicks of Connersville, IN; brothers, Kenny (Kay) Barwick of Elizabethtown, Bryan (Christie) Barwick of Columbus and Greg (Anna) Barwick of Columbus; 10 grandchildren . She was preceded in death by parents; husband; son, Aaron Prather; sister, Janice Whittington. Funeral service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3330 30th Street Columbus, IN 47203, with Bishop Matthew Henrichsen officiating.
