Gloria H. Tuttle, 89, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Keepsake Village. Gloria was born September 6, 1929 in Whitbourne, Newfoundland, Canada; the daughter of Harry and Ella Kilpatrick. When she was young, Gloria enjoyed ice skating, playing hockey, and most of all, skiing cross country.
While living in Newfoundland, she worked as a telephone operator, where she met Albert Tuttle. They were married November 15, 1948 and she joined him in the United States on January 17, 1952. Together, they had four boys. When their boys were young, Gloria worked as a homemaker. Then as the boys got older, Gloria went to work as a parts manager at Three Guys Incorporated.
Gloria and Albert enjoyed traveling and made many trips to Florida and Kansas to visit friends and family. She also enjoyed working in the yard tending to her plants and flowers.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert; her son, Albert Lynn; and four brothers, Henry, Howard, Donald, and Gerald.
She is survived by three sons, David, Frank, and Paul; her sister, Marie; seven grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and several great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Gloria will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Hathaway-Myers Chapel. Cremation will follow and a private inurnment will be held at Garland Brook Mausoleum at a later date. Memorial donations in Gloria’s name may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
