Charley my family sends their thoughts and prayers to you. We shared many evenings together as you were devoted to being there for Irene every night. I remember the dance when the staff was able to help Irene up and the two of you were able to dance to "somewhere over the rainbow". (not many dry eyes after that beautiful scene). Irene is at peace and you will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember how Irene’s face lit up every time that Charlie came in. The special occasions when we were able to assist her to be able to dance with Charlie and the smile on her face. Thank you for the pleasure of helping you care for Irene and for letting us get to know you all. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I remember Aunt Irene as being such a bright light in the Stone Family. She always seemed to have a twinkle in her eyes and just always seemed so happy, upbeat, kind and loving. I wished we had lived closer to be able to come visit. In 1999 when my mom, Beverly died, Irene and Charlie came down to NC for the funeral. Before they left, Irene told me a story about when you find a penny, know that your loved one is thinking about you. Not long after when I went to visit the cemetery....I got out of the car, looked down, and there was a penny on the pavement. I urge all of her family members to keep your eyes open....she will let you know she is near!
Below is a pic of Irene with her sisters Beverly and Val that I found.
