James A. Hammack, 73, of Columbus, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019.
He was born February 21 1946 in Columbus to Earl and Martha (Grider) Hammack, who preceded him in death. On June 5, 1965 he married Margie Cherry. She survives.
James retired from Chrysler as a Pattern Maker. He was currently employed by Kenny’s Locksmithing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandson. He also loved playing cards and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dean and Roger Hammack.
Surviving are his loving wife, Margie Hammack; daughter, Lisa Hammack (Brian Abner) of Columbus; son, Brian (Stacey) Hammack of Columbus; grandson, Parker Hammack of Columbus; and siblings, Maryann Coop and Kenny (JoEllen) Hammack, all of Columbus.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Myers-Reed Chapel. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Visitation will also be Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
