Mary A. Wilkins

Mrs. Wilkins was born December 8, 1927, in Peebles, Ohio, the daughter of Earl and Minnie Whitt Keplinger. She married John F. Wilkins April 2, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio. He preceded her in death March 13, 1993.

She was a bookkeeper for Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center and also worked for the Camera and Hobby Shop and the Village Shop. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

She and her husband loved to travel and were active members of Wilderness Wanderers. One of her great loves was her flower gardens and she took great joy in watching for new arrivals. She liked to read novels and enjoyed movies.

She is survived by sons, Curt (Susie) Wilkins of Greenville, South Carolina, Chris (Cheryl) Wilkins of Columbus and Jim (Mary) Wilkins of Columbia, South Carolina; a daughter, Carol Wilkins of Columbus; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street with Pastor David Blystone officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
