She was born June 18, 1947, in Columbus, the daughter of Bernard and Marjorie (Evans) Dewey. A trailblazer in her career, Pamela was the first female metallurgical technician at Golden Foundry in the 1970's. She also served as Outreach Coordinator at Turning Point, where her compassion and dedication touched many lives. Pamela also gave many years of service as the Service Manager for the National Women’s Music Festival, combining her love for music, community, and advocacy. She later worked in Quality Control at Arvin, and after its closing, retired from NTN Driveshaft. Pamela was a Six Sigma Blackbelt, a testament to her determination and drive.
Beyond her professional achievements, Pamela lived a full and vibrant life. She played catcher on several softball teams in her younger years. Her Halloween parties were legendary. After she retired, she discovered Tai Chi and took classes for many years. She expressed herself as both an artist and a writer. She was in the process of writing her own life story, a reflection of the thoughtful and creative spirit she carried throughout her life.
A passionate believer in justice and women’s rights, Pamela leaves behind a legacy of strength, courage, and compassion. She also leaves behind a community of lifelong friends who shared her passion for equality and service to the community.
