Ross M. Reed

Mr. Reed was born in Columbus, IN. on May 04, 1951 the son of Bert and Helen Crippen Reed of Columbus, IN.

He married Jane Bowman in Reddington, IN. on November 14, 1971 and she survives.

Mr. Reed retired from Cummins Engine Company in 2004 where he was a lab technician.

He was a member of the East Columbus United Methodist Church, St. John’s Masonic Lodge #20, the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite and the Indianapolis Murat Shrine.

The funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Reed will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 09, 2010 at the East Columbus United Methodist Church at 2439 Indiana Ave., Columbus, IN. 47201 with the Rev. Charles Aigner officiating.

Calling hours will be from 1:00 until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday at the Myers-Reed Chapel at 3729-25th St., Columbus, IN. 47203 and from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Monday at the church.

Burial will be in the Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus, IN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the East Columbus United Methodist Church.

Along with his parents and wife of 38 years, Mr. Reed is also survived by a son, Bryan Reed of Columbus, IN.; a daughter, Lori (Billy) Mills of Freetown, IN.; a sister, Cathy (David) Squires of Savannah, GA.; and two step-grandchildren, Mitch and Madison Mills of Brownsburg, IN.
