Shelby was born November 18, 1993 in Bartholomew County, the daughter of Edward Mead, Sr. and Gwenda Ledbetter Mead.
In her youth she attended Shiloh Baptist Church. She was an avid Harry Potter fan, loved spending time with her family and enjoyed any outdoor activity.
She is survived by her son, Maddox Scott Long of Butlerville, Indiana; her parents, Edward and Gwenda Mead of Columbus; sisters, Loralea Lashley of Columbus, Jennifer ( Randy Burnett) of Columbus; twin brother, Edward (Rhegan) Mead, Jr,; 5 nieces; 3 nephews.
A private service will be held at a later date.
