Thomas Eugene "Tom" Furnish II

Mr. Furnish was born August 09, 1957 in Madison, IN. the son of the late Thomas Eugene Furnish and Mary Jane Cox Furnish of Madison, IN.

He married Julie M. Connell May 20, 1989 in Madison, IN. and she survives.

Surviving with his mother and wife of 26 years are two daughters, Erin Furnish of Indianapolis, IN. and Chelsea Furnish of Toledo, OH.; two sons, Jacob and Matthew Furnish both of Columbus, IN.; four brothers, David, Tim, Steve (Kathy) and Chris (Catina) Furnish; twelve nieces and nephews and a great niece and great nephew.

Along with his father, Tom was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Furnish and Carolyn King.

Tom began his career with Duke Energy in 1981 where he was a supervisor.

He was a 1980 graduate of Hanover College where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Mr. Furnish was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Seymour Sertoma and Leadership Jackson County.

Tom enjoyed fishing, playing racquetball and basketball. He also enjoyed cutting wood and spending time with his family and friends.

The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 am Friday, July 03, 2015 at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church with Father Clem Davis officiating.

Calling hours will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St. with a Rosary Service at 8:00 pm with Sandy Neidigh presiding.

Cremation will follow the service at The Columbus Crematory with inurnment at a later date at Garland Brook Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
