Alfred Ross Hays

Alfred Ross Hays, 88 of Westerville, died Monday, January 07, 2013. He was born May 20, 1924 in Wheeling, WV to the late John and Jessie (Ross) Hays. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII serving in Germany and retired after 35 years as a tool engineer with Rockwell International/ Boeing. He was a member of Westerville Athletic Club and Westerville Community Center. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and being the family handyman. He is survived by Mary (Hyatt) Hays his loving wife of 62 years, three daughters Kathy (Tom) Vezin, Linda Tiberi (Mike Leffler) and Sharon Hays, four grandchildren Chad Vezin, Ross Vezin (Shannon Harmon), Michelle Tiberi and Ryan (Hannah) Tiberi, sisters Madelyn Hays and Nancy Hays Piersol, family friend Harriet Haniotes, nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden.
