Andrew J. Papp, age 81, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010, at Heartland of Urbana. He was born on June 13, 1928, in Columbus to the late Andrew and Elizabeth Papp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Papp; and sisters, Elizabeth Haag and Rosie Papp. Andy is survived by his sister, Mary Elliott; nephews, Paul Barnette, and Stan (Denise) Barnette; step-children, Ilona Owens, Steve (Margie) Zakany, and Mary Neale; 1 step-granddaughter; and 2 step-great granddaughters. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Joseph Cemetery with Deacon Stephen Venturini officiating.
