Andrew Patrick Priestas passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Knox Community Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Columbus, and is preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Lucille; his son, Brian; his parents, Charles and Mary; and all 10 of his siblings.
He honorably served in the Air Force, and then retired from Boeing Aviation.
A kind and understanding soul, he had a warm spirit and will be missed by many. Those he leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Andrea (Mark Andrews) Lyon, Steven (Candace) Priestas and Mark (Camela) Priestas; five grandchildren: Craig, Derek, Tyler, Blake and Yana; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild; along with his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A devoted husband and father, he enjoyed time spent with his family while they camped and traveled the state of Ohio. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing as well as many years of snow birding in Florida.
Family will accept friends on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Advantage by Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio. Funeral service will follow at 11:00am with Military Honors, and entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
