Angela Rankin

ANGELA MARIE (SMITH) RANKIN 49, of Sanford, NC, formerly Tiffin, OH passed away on 29 September, 2020 after a thirteen-month battle with stage 4 colon cancer. Angela was born December 14, 1970 at Mercy Hospital and was a 1989 graduate of Calvert High School. A daughter of Joseph and Diane Smith, she has one sister Georgiann (Smith) Berry. She is survived by her husband Brian; two sons, a daughter and two daughters-in-law; Aaron and Catlin, Drew and Alexis, Jessica; three granddaughters, one grandson (with another grandson on the way). Angela and her family have lived in Ohio, Michigan, Italy, North Carolina, Louisiana, West Virginia, Florida and Maryland. Angela was a passionate, dedicated and loyal State Farm employee for more than 24 years. She loved running, sipping wine, cooking, spending time on the boat, beaches, watching Buckeye football, visiting with friends, and most importantly spending time with her family. Her travels took her abroad to Italy, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Croatia, Prague, Guam, and Hawaii. She also enjoyed trips to Washington DC, California, New York, Maine, Philadelphia, El Paso and Myrtle Beach. She enjoyed life and she enjoyed helping people.

Angela's Celebration of Life Services will be 17 October at the Schoedinger Funeral Home North East, 1051 E Johnstown Rd, Columbus, OH 43230. The service will start at 2:00-3:00, immediately followed by the 3:00-5:00 viewing and then over to the Courtyard Columbus New Albany banquet room for 5:30-7:00 fellowship and a casual meal. Friends and family are encouraged to stay at the Courtyard Columbus New Albany 5211 Forest Drive, New Albany Ohio 43054.
