Ann M Ickes

Ann M. (Yost) Ickes, age 81, of Columbus, passed away after a battle with cancer on Monday, October 21, 2013. She was born on November 7, 1931 to the late Samuel Herman Yost and Elizabeth Louise (Miller) Yost. Ann graduated from Worthington High School class of 1949 and received her Bachelors in Music Education from Otterbein University. She was very active in the following groups: Women in Music, Saturday Music Club, Worthington Sonata Unit of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Worthington Music Club, and Worthington Hills Women's Club. She was also a longtime member of Worthington Presbyterian Church where she took part in the Chancel Choir, Woodrow Guild, and Geneva Fellowship. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Louise McDonald; brother-in-law, James E. McDonald. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Stanton T. Ickes; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Anthony Guarnera; grandson, Christopher (Lauren) Guarnera; granddaughter, Kaitlin Guarnera; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Friends may call from 5pm- 8pm on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N High St., Worthington. Funeral service will begin at 11am on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Worthington Presbyterian Church, 773 High St., Worthington, OH 43085. Reverend Dr. Mack Sigmon officiating.
