Ann Elizabeth Marshall (Heston), suddenly but peacefully left this world October 5, 2017. Devoted Mother, loving Nana and giving friend, Ann will be missed by so many. Born February 21,1950 in Port Washington Ohio, Ann was the fourth of seven children born to Eugene and Kathleen (McCune) Heston. A graduate of Indian Valley South High School, she loved learning and went to college later in life, where she earned many academic excellence awards and loved her Women's Studies classes. Recently retired, Ann was the Fraternal Coordinator for the United Commercial Travelers of America (UCT) for the last 17 years. Ann was adored by her UCT family and enjoyed traveling and meeting all the members she spoke with daily. In addition, she was an active member of her local council, where she found so much joy in helping others. Always described as a "true beauty", Ann's smile engulfed a room and made you feel safe. Ann was an avid reader, lover of art, movies, and music especially the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Van Morrison. We firmly believe she is in heaven now at the Algonquin eating lunch with John Lennon, Georgia O'Keefe, Dorothy Parker, and Eleanor Roosevelt. An outspoken activist, she had deep appreciation for those who stood up for social injustice and she's super pissed Donald Trump is president. Ann's loving spirit lives on in her two children, son Tommy Hannon (Sheri Sword) and daughter Mollie Hannon (John Thompson) and her six grandchildren, Matthew Worden, TJ Hannon, Emily Hannon, Maggie Hannon, Oliver Thompson, and Saoirse Thompson. She is survived by brothers Keith Heston, Tim Heston, and Matt Heston; and sisters Nancy Wilkins and Jane Heston. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard Heston. Ann's life will be celebrated October 16, 2017 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio. Calling hours are from 5-6 PM and a service from 6-7 PM. Immediately following we will be holding an Irish Wake at Fado's Irish Pub , Easton. In lieu of flowers we ask you donate to two very special charities that Ann held dear, Flying Horse Farms and the Central Ohio Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
"Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends." - Richard Bach, "Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah"
