
Anna Marie Steward, 89, died October 17, 2009 at Sunrise of Bexley. “Anne” was born in Columbus on October 3, 1920 to Rudolph and Flora Nast Lauterbach. Childhood years were spent on the family farm in Licking County, Ohio. Returning to Columbus after graduation from Alexandria High School, she found employment and the love of her life, John, “Jack” Steward. They were married on December 28, 1940 and enjoyed 29 years together. After raising their two girls, she returned to work in 1960. Retired after 23 years with the City of Hamilton, Ohio, she returned to Columbus where she spent her remaining years. As a member of the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church and the Hamrick Jones Cancer Ray, she gave freely of her time and talents. She enjoyed gardening, handiwork, reading, dining out and traveling. An accomplished grandmother, her greatest joy remained nurturing her family. Preceded in death by parents and husband, siblings Norma Yantes and Robert R, Lauterbach. Survived by daughters Judith A. (David) Inglis of Columbus and Janet E. (Peter E.) Jasanis of Ormond Beach, Florida; grandchildren Patrick (Noucha) Jasanis of San Pedro, California, James Jasanis of Tampa, Florida, Carolyn Jasanis (Rich) DeWalden of Orlando, Florida, Brian (Dr. Tiffany) Inglis of Blacklick and William (fiancee Emily Roushey) Inglis of Chicago. Great grandchildren include Aidan, Lance and Nolan Jasanis, Julia and Jack Inglis. Also surviving are siblings Virginia Bodle, Patricia Price and Richard (Barb) Lauterbach, sister-in-law Betty Lauterbach and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
