

Anne (Vitullo) Broad, 60, of Columbus, passed from this Earth Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Anne was born July 7, 1950 in Youngstown, and as the daughter of an Army Colonel, moved extensively before she settled down. Anne married her husband, James Broad on November 27, 1971. They moved to the Columbus area in 1978. Anne was employed by Battelle as the Director of Corporate Accounting Services dedicating 40 years of service. Anne was renowned, admired and respected by her colleagues and acted as a mentor to many. Anne was a member of the Catholic Church and looked forward to volunteering at the St. Michael’s Festival. Anne had a very big personality that brought humor to everyone and lit up the room with her presence. Anne had a quick wit, was a good story teller, found humor in life and was always cheerful and caring to everyone around her. Anne was the matriarch of her family, was always giving to them and loved hosting holidays. Anne will be greatly missed by her family, colleagues, and everyone whose lives she touched. Preceded in death by her father, Anthony Vitullo. Anne will be missed by her loving husband of 40 years, James Broad; daughter, Christina Broad; son, Joshua Broad; mother, Louise Vitullo; sisters, Elane and Maureen Vitullo and Karen (Gary) White; brother, John Vitullo; nephews, Steven and Bryan White and Jimmy Skatts; great-nephews and niece, Carson, Jenna, and Jack; and many many friends. Family will receive friends Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 2-6 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (Just South of I-270). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 10700 Liberty Rd., Powell, Rev. Ray Larussa, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
