Anne Dunnam Littleton died peacefully, surrounded by her family on August, 27 2025. She is survived by her husband, Brad Blackburn; her children, Rob (Susan) Littleton, Ben (Madison) Littleton, Abby (Zach) Mitchell; her step-children, Ashley Blackburn Chrissis (Nick), Sarah (Brent) Gerrity; and her brother, Tom Dunnam; her grandchildren, Marco and Asa Littleton; Evelyn and Aiden Littleton; Nico and Mack Chrissis; and Owen, Elsie, Dane, June, Calvin, and Kiera Gerrity. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marcia Myers, and her parents Marc and Evelyn Dunnam.
Anne graduated from Troy High School, Wittenberg University, and The Ohio State University College of Medicine. While in residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Anne was named Resident of the Year and she went on to be frequently named to the “Best Doctors” list in Columbus Monthly.
Anne was a beloved pediatrician for over 30 years and is remembered by thousands of patients, including multiple generations of families. It was not unusual to find patients and their families, along with an occasional stranger, at the dinner table. Her children fondly remember walking in to the house to find Anne holding a baby patient she had brought home to give the tired new parents a break. “Let them come” was a philosophy she lived her life by, and those around her never doubted her love for them. Always excited to try new things, she often called her activities, “Anne Adventures.” She loved the ocean, desserts, salt (straight from the shaker!), Coca-Cola, and animals.
Calling hours begin at 9:30 on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, 760 E. Broad St. Columbus, followed by a celebration of life service at 11:30. A brief reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Columbus Humane, and the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research.
