Anthony A. “Tony” Mason, age 39 of Grove City passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Tony was born in Columbus and graduated from Washington Senior High School, class of 1989. After graduation Tony found his calling and began a career in construction. He had natural talents to do all types of construction work but enjoyed framing the most – “if it wasn’t wood, it didn’t matter”. Tony had the rare ability to visualize how a project would look and transform that vision into reality. He was a very meticulous craftsman and took great pride in his work. He was a great golfer and fisherman, and enjoyed cooking specialties in the kitchen like his hot wings and venison egg rolls. Tony was very social and no matter where he went he would always know someone. Tony’s greatest passion was his family, especially his daughters; he loved going camping or to the cabin with them, or just hanging out. They were, and are his pride and joy. Tony is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Robert and Wilma Jane “Willie” Allen; paternal grandfather Norman F. Mason; and his beloved daughter Jessica, who passed in 2008. He is survived by his loving family including daughter Ashleigh Mason; mother Holly (Ken) Baker; father Jeffrey L. Mason; brother Matt Mason; paternal grandmother Doris Mason; niece Mekena Mason; former spouse and good friend Suzanne Gorrell; and many other family members and great friends. Friends may call 1-5 PM Sunday at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway, Grove City where the funeral service to honor Tony will be held at 10:30 AM Monday. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends if they wish, may contribute to a charity of their choice in memory of Tony.
