Ardie Louis Schirtzinger, 94, passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born on October 2, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio, to Ardie and Ada (Edgar) Schirtzinger. He played trumpet in the Central High School Band. After graduating from Central High School in 1948 he began working as a plumber. He would retire as a Master Plumber and a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union for 65 years. Ardie married Patricia Blair in 1950. They were married for 63 years and had four children: Michael, Richard, Karen and Jeffrey. Ardie is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia, his sister, Donna Judd, and his youngest son Jeffrey. He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Darlene Happ and her children; and three of his children: Michael (Lorraine), Richard (Janet), and Karen (Tony); 11 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. The family will celebrate a Mass for Ardie on Tuesday, June 10, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, with a luncheon to follow.
