Arlene K. Madden, age 55, born November 22, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio, passed away at home on Monday, April 18, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her father, John Shoemaker; and father-in-law, David Madden. Arlene is survived by her husband, Terry Madden; sons, Tyler (Kristina) and Austen Madden; grandson, Tatum; mother, Carol Shoemaker; brother, Jack Shoemaker; sister, Karen Miller; mother-in-law, Dorothy Madden; brother-in-law, Thomas (Marcie) Madden; nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Arlene was a Registered Nurse and retired from Grant Hospital after 31 years of service. She was the ultimate family hostess, very gracious, and loved to travel. She will be greatly missed. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna where the Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow at Jersey Cemetery. Contributions in Arlene's memory may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Ohio or Kobacker House.
