

Arthur B. Baer, 90, of Reynoldsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. He was born on October 2, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Adolph and Alma (Kiner) Baer. Art proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University, and retired from Lazarus as a retail manager. He enjoyed stamp collecting, gardening and sheep farming. He was a movie enthusiast of the TCM channel and watching and feeding the songbirds in his backyard. In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Jane Baer; son, Tim Baer; brother, Richard Baer; and sister, Jeannette Cato. He is survived by his sons, Stephen (Lee) Baer and Christopher Baer; grandsons, Adam and his fiancée (Christina Gingeleskie) and Ethan (Jennifer) Baer; special friend, Donna Mason; nieces, Nancy (Doug) Wilson and Debbie (Robert) Hale and his beloved chocolate lab, Charlie Brown, grandnephews Tod and Tom Zimmerman, great grandnephews Nic and Owen. Family will receive friends 9-10 am Monday, May 7, 2018 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the memorial service will begin at 10 am.
