

Arthur “Larry” Harris, age 65, of Columbus, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011. He was born in Ashville, Ohio on August 2, 1945 to the late Arthur Elwood and Martha Marie (Everett) Harris. Larry was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam and was a member of VFW Post #4044. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge in Hilliard. Larry was the owner and operator of Harris Body Shop in Columbus for 30+ years and drove late model Nascar race cars at Columbus Motor Speedway for 37 years. Larry also enjoyed boating, fishing, and camping. Survivors include his fianceé, Mary Thompson; children, Tammy (Jeff) Schmidt, Julie (Chad) Grayson, Martey Jarvis, Melissa Rollason, and Natalie (David) McDonald; 12 grandchildren; and one great grandson. He is also survived by his sister, Betty (Jack) Jackson; brother, Mark Harris; and numerous step-brothers and step-sisters.
