Barbara L. Chapman, age 75, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 13, 2014. She was born June 5, 1939 in Louisa, Kentucky. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Barb enjoyed bowling, square dancing, golfing, crossword puzzles, and watching The Price is Right game show. She is preceded in death by her mother, Laksie L. Grimes; sisters, Rosie Ford and Arta Grimes; and longtime friends, Joanie Hill and Diane Moore. Barb is survived by her loving daughters, Stephanie Jones of Florida and Sondi (Louie) Aponte of Arizona; sister, Nancy (Tom) Long; granddaughters, that she loved more than anything else, Christin Jones of Florida and Lauren Lock of Kansas; great-grandchildren, Jesse, Julie, and Cosita; 1 niece and 3 nephews and their families; her neighbors; and her special friends at the corner store.
