

Barbara Jean (Burbridge) Cox, 76 of Hilliard born November 17, 1940 to Edward and Mabel Burbridge entered into glory at 10:28pm February 1, 2017 at The Grand of Dublin, where she had resided for the last month surrounded by her loving family. Always from the Georgesville area, graduate of Grove City HS class of 1958. Barb had worked hard her whole life beginning at Ohio Gas and Appliance, then to Refiners Oil, and Marathon Oil, auction day helper at Tri-Green Interstate Equipment. Resident of Flagler Beach, Florida for seven years until health issues returned her to Ohio, previously residing at Carriage Court of Grove City and Carriage Court of Hilliard, where she made many friends at both and The Grand of Dublin. Always a strong woman of faith and leaned on her faith in God to help her for years being a single parent. Member of Trinity UMC of Lilly Chapel for over 60 years, a great lover of music, former member of the church choir, growing up with many friends through the Methodist Youth Fellowship group, board member of Loving Care Hospice and Home Health of London from 2003-2006, Georgesville Community Club and ladies Bunko group, supporter of American Cancer Society Relay for Life, proudly being a breast cancer survivor of many years. Known for her love and collection of angels and in turn being an angel to many, her singing voice and love of music, her quick wit and her always ready to be on the go. Survived by her daughter Kathy (Josh) Lewis of Hilliard and Jason Cox of Columbus, granddaughter Kayla Teale (Eric Scott) , grandson Christian Stiffler and great granddaughter Alaina Scott who loving called her GiGi. Brother and sister -in-law Robert (Tank) and Lee Burbridge of Ormond Beach, Florida, many cousins, nieces, nephews and host of friends who loved her dearly. Preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law Michael and, Nancy Burbridge, infant sister Cheryl, special aunt and uncle Bill and Tootie Green, father of her children Larry Cox. Visitation at the Schoedinger-Norris funeral home 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio, Friday, February 10 from 4-8 pm. Funeral service at the Trinity UMC of Lilly Chapel, with Pastor Jon Osmundson officiating, Saturday, February 11 at 11am with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Georgesville, Ohio with Reverend Doctor Thom Burbridge. Celebration dinner and fellowship to follow at Trinity UMC of Lilly Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 8530 Lilly Chapel-Georgesville Road, London, Ohio 43140 or Loving Care Hospice and Home Health, P.O.
