Thank you for always putting a smile on my face. I have been waiting to see you for a while. I knew something was wrong as you've never went this long in between hair cuts. Anyways, thank you for making an impact on my life and brightening my day.

Lit a candle in memory of Barbara Ellen Felice

The most wonderful sister I had has been stripped from my life instantly like a violent storm. I'm not bitter or angry at God, but she had so much going for her. She was proud she had been able to return to work in the last year as a caregiver We talked for hours on the phone even though we may have done the same thing just the week before. We talked 2 days before she had her attack @ the home where Karen Carter, her best friend for over 60 yrs, shared with Barb. Barb had such a laugh & a lively spirit she made everyone in the room laugh & if they didn't hear her she made sure they did just like the Carter's usually did. She loved the Lord & life so much, she  knew someday he would sweep her up with the rest of God's family & she would see her relatives. Most of all she told everyone she would see her beloved husband David Felice. Her body lays beside him @ the cemetery, just like she had planned for those many years ago. She always told her family & friends that she would be ready whenever the Lord was ready for her. She worked @ Ohio State for some time earlier in her life & loved all the doctors & facilities she would visit later. She would have also be pleased that they took care of her in her last days. They were so kind to her & us. I believe in our Lord with all my heart & am so thankful she was enjoying her life & looking forward to the future. I think all of us would want to laugh like her everyday with no regrets. I used to tell her I was always going to be her younger baby sister when she would call me on my birthday. She would laugh & call me a few names. I will always remember her & hold a special place for her in my memory & broken heart.

In our later years she was guidance counselor, my spiritual mentor, the person I would call when I needed some laughter back in my life .I would think if she had the time she would have left us all a message like this;

                             " WELCOME HOME"

When I am gone, don't be sad, Let me go.
I have so many things to see and do.
You shouldn't shed so many tears 
Be happy that we had so many years

I give to you all of  my love,you can only guess
how much you gave me back in happiness.
I thank all of you for the love you have shown
But now its time I traveled alone

So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must.
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
I won't be far away,for life goes on.
But if you need me, call and I will come.

Though you can't see me, or touch me, I'll be near.
  And if you listen closely you'll hear
all my love around you , soft and clear.

And then when you must come this way alone
I'll greet you with a hug and say "Welcome Home "

I will always remember Barbara"s great sense of humor and hearing her laughter after telling stories of the past and present. She will be truly be missed by her family and friends for what she brought to each of us in her own way. She was loved and will be continued to be loved and always remembered.

I’m going to be loss without our last night phone calls Aunt Barb. I’m going to miss you so much! But I have the most wonderful memories or the times we had. So until we meet again I’ll keep you in my heart and my thoughts. I love you Aunt Barb!!!
