Barbara Ellen Greene

Barbara E. Greene, age 70, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2016. Retired Assistant Vice-President and Benefits Manager of former Bank One with over 27 years of service. Also, taught school in the Diocese of Columbus. A graduate of Rosary High School and Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio and a 50 year member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where she enjoyed being a part of the church choir. Preceded in death by parents, Edward L. and Ann M. Slattery; spouse John J. Brauner; sisters Joan P. King and Martha L. Davis; brother Richard E. Slattery and step-daughter Debra Ann Stoops. Survived by husband of 10 years, Buell L. Greene; step-daughters Lisa (Richard) McVey of DeQuincy, LA and Vickie (Steve) Beatty of Hilliard, OH; grandchildren Richie, Angie, Ryan, Steven, Dustin (Erin) and Timothy; several very special great-grandchildren. Barbara was a beloved aunt to David (Sherri) King, Gary (Sharee) King, Marcy (Sam) Wooster, Doug (Leslie) King and Jo Ellen King (deceased) as well as additional nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends. Family will welcome friends 5-8pm (prayer service at 7:30pm) Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Thursday, January 14, 2015 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 Waggoner Rd., Reynoldsburg, OH with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery; Msgr. Patrick Gaughan, Celebrant. Those who wish may contribute to the James Cancer Center for Breast Cancer Research, The American Heart Association or St. Pius X Parish.
