Barbara J. Hensel

Barbara J. Hensel, 80 (1941 – 2022) passed away peacefully after having a long battle with heart disease. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, William Hensel; her parents Elbert and Ida Newton; her siblings: Glen, Charles, Junior, David, Patsy and Nancy; her son-in-law Jake Ryder.

She is survived by her sisters: Peggy, Wanda and Sandy; her six children, Jeannie (Terry) Mullins, Barbara (Paul) Drake, Beulah (Chuck) Nuber, Jerry Caldwell, Kathy Ryder, Debbie (Bob) Kincaid. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; also her special nephew, Arvil Cox.

She loved being around her grandchildren – she loved pictures and photo albums. She absolutely loved her Starbucks Frappuccino coffees with a straw, and her Dell Crossword puzzle books.

The family would like to thank her grandson Larry (Leroy) Rockwell for being by her side for the last three years, while taking care of her and never leaving her side. We would like to thank Hospice of Central Ohio for the great care and comfort they provided to her, and our family.

Her family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Friday at SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Road. Her life will be honored with a Funeral Service, which will be held at her church, North Park Church of Christ, 4938 Westerville Road in Columbus. Interment will follow at Blendon Central Cemetery.
