

Barbara Kaiser, age 89, passed away December 16, 2020 at Mount Carmel East Hospital, due to complications related to pneumonia and Covid-19. She was born on March 23, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio to James A. and Mary Anne Weis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Robert E. Kaiser; brothers, Carl, Nick, Jerry, Jim, and Paul; sisters, Vera Smith, Anita Perkins, and Evie Foeller; in- laws Lorena and Herman Kaiser Sr.; brothers- and sister-in-law, Herman Kaiser Jr., Jean Federer, and Don Kaiser. She is survived by daughters, Judy (Gary) Williams and Karen Kaiser; son, Tom (Kelly) Kaiser; grandchildren, Kristyn (Troy), Matthew, Shawn, Tiffany, Brittany, Austin, and Brandon; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends, especially Steve Wood and Cola McGruder. Barb attended St. Joseph Academy in Columbus, Ohio, class of 1949. She was a proud co-owner of Kaiser Laundry Equipment Co. and member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She served many years as a volunteer at numerous organizations, including Holy Spirit, American Cancer Society, Action for Children, and the Advertising Federation of Columbus. The family warmly thanks The Villas at St. Therese Assisted Living. Barb loved, and was loved by, the staff and residents. The family also thanks the staff at Mount Carmel East Emergency Room, Hospital, and Intensive Care Unit for their unwavering dedication, care, and assistance during Barb's 6-day stay. In honor of all front-line workers, we ask everyone to wear a mask to help save lives. Due to Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, there will be no calling hours, and a private family funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 23 with Fr. William Arnold officiating. In an "In the event of my death" letter she wrote to her children in 1997, Barb lovingly stated, "I love you all more than you could ever know. I am forever grateful for every year of my life. My parents, sisters, brothers, husband, children, spouses, grandchildren, and friends have made my life as close to perfect as it could be." Godspeed, Mom, we love you more than you could ever know.
