Beecher N. “Buddy” Powers, III, age 65, of Columbus, died Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Villa Angela Care Center. He was a substance abuse counselor and friend of Bill W.’s. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jane Ann and Beecher Powers, Jr.; brothers, Mark and Kenneth Powers. He is survived by his son, Mark Powers; brothers, Tom (Aletha) and Scott Powers; nieces and nephews, Sarah, Shelly, Sarah, Mark, and Ashley; many other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2013 at Schoedinger Linden Memorial Chapel, 2741 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43224, with Rev. Thomas Powers officiating; friends will be received after 5:00 p.m. Monday.
