

Benjamin David Lewicki, born February 16, 1980, died in his sleep on Monday, September 22, 2014 in Dayton. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his parents, Bob and Kate Lewicki of Westerville; sister, brother-in-law and nephews Ann, Ryan, Weston and Britton Mehl; maternal grandfather and step-grandmother Roger and Judy Wach of Atlanta; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Emma and Tony Shinsky, and maternal grandmother, Ann Wach.
Ben was a strong but very gentle man, with a quick sense of humor and a strong work ethic. He loved music, books, the Chicago Cubs, the Green Bay Packers, cooking, Seinfeld re-runs and Buddha statues.
After graduating with honors from Westerville North High School in 1998, where he ran cross country and track, Ben went to the University of Toledo on a Leadership Scholarship. He graduated magna cum laude in 2003 with a dual degree in Athletic Training and Health Education. He earned a second degree in Physician Assisting from the University of Findlay in 2009, where he specialized in orthopedics.
Friends may visit the family from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, September 26th, at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd, Gahanna. A private memorial service will be held on Saturday.
